Content rules

These rules complete the terms of use. They apply to files you send, text, generated videos, and anything you publish.

Not allowed

• any minor, or anyone who looks like a minor, including your own child, a pupil, or a minor you represent. There is no parent, school or "child video allowed" mode;
• a recognizable real person without their consent (image rights / likeness), including a celebrity, a public figure, or a lookalike;
• identity theft, harassment through an image, or a deepfake without consent;
• sexualization, nudity, or erotic content;
• hate, harassment, or discrimination;
• graphic violence, weapons, drugs, alcohol, banknotes, gang signs, or crypto;
• fraud, scams, or misleading ads;
• a property altered so it looks different from the photos (a virtual staging only if it is clearly labeled);
• a health or financial promise;
• a work, brand, or music you do not have the rights to.

Your video, faces and replaced people

You can transform your own video, add elements to it and replace a person with one of your characters or with the photo of an adult who agreed. The rules, in plain words:

• every person visible or inserted is an adult and agreed. For each detected face, you say whether it is you, a person who agreed, or a person to replace;
• for each photo of a real person you insert, you confirm their consent, photo by photo;
• never a celebrity, a politician or a public figure, nor a lookalike;
• never a minor;
• never sexual content, and never an intimate image of a person without their consent;
• never to pretend to be someone, to deceive or to scam;
• never news, politics or elections;
• never to humiliate, ridicule or harass someone;
• never to make a real person say or do what they did not say or do;
• the "AI content" label and the digital signature stay on the video: do not remove or hide them;
• the "Before / Maskotto" split screen only shows your own original video.

A person who recognizes themselves can ask for removal, even without an account: we handle the request with priority, within 24 hours (Report use of my likeness). A sexual deepfake or impersonation for fraud leads to immediate account closure and a report to Pharos, the French police reporting platform. Details: section 6a of the terms.

What you confirm

By generating, you tick the boxes and slide "I consent" all the way. You warrant the rights to the files, permission from recognizable people, that no minor is depicted, compliance with the law and these rules, and the "generated by AI" label. You are responsible for how you use the result (publishing, harassment, identity theft). Adult women are never shown as objects.

Label

Every Maskotto video is generated by AI. When you publish it, keep a clear label (AI Act, article 50).

What happens next

A forbidden request is refused before any charge, or the credits are returned. Repeat violations can suspend the account. To report content: Report content.
